Textures and Densities
With almost one decade of experience working with kinky, coily and curly textured hair, we can't help but to notice the vast variety of densities, textures and different variations of the two combined. It is common to discover multiple hair textures on a client's scalp. Whether it be a looser coil or curl toward the back of the head than in the front or vice versa. It raises the question… “What does textures and densities have to do with the styles we choose to book?
Understanding the different textures and densities is crucial, as it helps us determine what style to book and product to use. It also aids in selecting the texture of extensions that will best suit the clients natural hair and the climate.
When considering your inspiration for a new style, please be reminded that we are all uniquely made. We all have different textures, densities, and lengths of hair. Our heads come in different sizes and shapes. We also have different shaped hairlines.
